By now, almost everyone has heard about the Pope’s highly anticipated visit to Philadelphia this September. One Philly native is particularly excited about the visit and decided to create a very specific bobblehead equally dedicated to Pope Francis and the city of Philadelphia. Thomas Sprott, a thirty-five year old entrepreneur, thought it would be nice to see a bobble head of the Pope not only holding a cheesesteak, but holding a cheesesteak with boxing gloves on. “I thought, ‘We need a souvenir that is unique to the Philadelphia visit…’ And boom, pope bobblehead,” he said. The unofficial bobblehead is being manufactured in China and has sold 16 dolls so far. This souvenirs might not be the most accurate depiction of the Pope, but it definitely represents Philadelphia more than others which may lead to it’s success come September.
A True Philadelphian Pope Francis!
