Captiv8 Supply: The Catholic University of America’s Cardinal Stadium was selected as the host site of the GEICO’s inaugural High School Lacrosse Nationals during this past Memorial Day Weekend. This unique event allowed the best high school lacrosse teams across the United States and Canada to face one another in a post-season tournament, which was televised on ESPNU and streamed on ESPN3.
As stated by Dan Margulis, Senior Director of college sports programming, “The GEICO High School Lacrosse Nationals, created by Paragon Marketing Group, gives ESPNU another opportunity to continue showcasing the next generation of athletes and further enhancing our overall commitment to the sport of lacrosse.With this event and the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Championships, fans will get the chance to watch the sport at the high school and college level during Memorial Day weekend.”
The final game was played on May 30th, where The Hill Academy Lacrosse came in as the #1 champions of the tournament! The team was able to bring home a custom trophy that resembled 2 lacrosse sticks with the ‘Geico LAX’ logo imprinted on the front, produced by us! We were so happy to see this trophy go to a well-deserving team and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year.
