The Anaheim Convention Center was visited by many eager Disney fans in efforts to get their hands on limited edition merchandise last week. August 14-16 was the Disney D23 Expo where convention-only merchandise was on sale and was seen as a resale opportunity for many. The items, which included gifts like pin sets, dolls, shirts, Mickey Mouse ears and more, were purchased and sold again on eBay for higher prices. It was reported that the $20 Mickey Mouse ears were resold for $60 and the Frozen pin sets that were originally $125 went for $160 on eBay. Some limited edition dolls will even go for as much as $4,000. One shopper in particular estimated that about 80 percent of the expo visitors had plans to resell their purchases.
Limited edition Princess Jasmine dolls in a red dress, were a hot item at the D23 Disney Expo on Saturday. 500 dolls were on sale at the Disney store for $119.95.
