Discovery isn’t just a channel; rather a company that took a different direction for the better good of society to establish Discovery Impact. Discovery Impact is a volunteer, non-profit organization that encourages employees to get involved and help either people in their own communities or across the globe. It first began in 2010 to celebrate Discovery’s 25th Anniversary; with 4,000 employees from 50 offices and 35 countries participating; every year is more successful. Impact Day offers over 200 different projects at different sites, and allows employees to work from their offices to prepare materials and food for the field-workers to distribute.
