On November 18th, Campari®, the iconic red Italian bittersweet apéritif, had famous Hollywood star, Kate Hudson, star their 2016 calendar. There are multiple themes for the Bittersweet Campaign’s 2016 Campari Calendar: first, the aura is replicating one of a presidential election, using the classic political theme to display the duality of two opposing sides, in this case bitter versus sweet. The duality was shown through the Calendar’s images with a collaboration between Kate Hudson, who embodied and personified the dual sides of Campari: “the captivating bitterness versus a more subtle, intriguing sweetness and fashion photographer, Michelangelo Di Battista”.The Calendar is interactive with the public like any political debate, asking people to take a stand, express an opinion and vote for a side. With Campari’s unique taste defining the concept of duality, the Calendar asks people which aspect of the classic apéritif they identify with more: Bitter versus Sweet.
