This past Monday, May 11, one of Captiv8’s very own attended Win’s prestigious 19th Annual Gala Dinner at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan. The event was to honor the success, the commitment and dedication of the founder, Bonnie Stone, and the president of Hearst Publications, Michael Clinton, as well as to commemorate Win’s success in helping 10% of the homeless population in New York City. The organization was recently featured on Humans of New York due to their outstanding efforts and services within the homeless sectors of Manhattan, a sector many of us ignore as we pace through our fortunate daily routines. Win is an organization that aims to change and better the lives of homeless women and children by providing shelter through their 11 safe-housing buildings, as well as services and programs to educate their women and create ample opportunities for the women to utilize their specialized talents and live independent lives. Captiv8 was honored to be represented at the Gala along with celebrities, such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Tamron Hall, as well as multiple leaders within various industries.
At the event, Captiv8 was one of many companies to provide their services to create exquisite and memorable products for the gift bags, such as American Express Company, Hearst Magazines, HSN, Jay Manuel Beauty, KIND Healthy Snacks, Lord & Taylor, and many more. Captiv8 customized sleeping masks and a quality deck of cards that promote the logo of Win, and the motto “Breaking the Cycle of Homelessness for Women and their Children”. With 80% of NYC’s homeless population being women and children, 25,000 kids living homeless lifestyles and 131% more homeless families staying in shelters each night since 2000 (click here to find out more), Captiv8 feels honored to be able to contribute to a phenomenal cause.
