“This is a movement for any woman. It shouldn’t matter what size you are.” – Ashley Graham
Linda Heasley, Lane Bryant CEO stated: “110 years ago Lane Bryant was created to offer ‘our size women’ fashionable well-made clothing. Traditional department and specialty stores simply didn’t stock them in any depth so these women’s needs were not being met. What is amazing is that over a century later, most retailers still offer extremely limited options to our customer so we’re as relevant a brand now as we were when we were first founded. Though 67% of women range in size 14-24, the media still fails to represent them. The inequality exists and we’re continuing to balance the equation. Plus is Equal. Our women are not only equal they are sexy and fabulous!”
Lane Bryant is a retail plus-size women’s chain store. The company created a new campaign that launched today called #PlusIsEqual. The campaign got so much hype around it that it will be featured in Vogue, Glamour, The 67th Emmy Awards and Refinery29. The campaign was taken to Times Square today at noon to increase the hype, show the movement, and allow thousands of men/women to advocate towards the trending hashtag: #PlusIsEqual. With New York Fashion Week a subway ride away, Lane Bryant’s event turned out to be so successful that all over the world, people started to break away from Fashion Week and pay attention to #PlusIsEqual, watching iconic women such as Wendy Williams lead the movement.
Captiv8 was honored to create custom #PlusIsEqual products for the Lane Bryant event. Along with the purple shirts that all the beautiful men and women are sporting out there in Times Square, Captiv8 designed pom poms, bandannas, flags, banners, and temporary tattoos. All the promotional products are inline with the theme of the campaign; including the logo, the hashtag, and the purple color. Do you have a big campaign launch or movement coming up that needs more hype? Captiv8 can create promotional products that will deliver your message as well as increase awareness!
